July 16th, 1988: While on his Bad tour, Michael Jackson preformed for Diana and Charles at Wembley. Before the concert, Diana pulled Jackson aside and asked him if he had included his popular song “Dirty Diana” for the concert. Jackson assured her had not out of respect for the princess who shared the same name with the song’s title subject, but upon hearing this, she became disappointed. “Oh, no! I want you to do it, do the song!” she protested, claiming it was her favorite of his. Jackson said of the Princess later: “She was very kind, very loving, very sweet.” [x]
